Through the study in the first few weeks, I have a basic understanding of Multimedia Skills. In this homework, I will modify the power point and screen casting I did before.
In the previous blog, I made a PowerPoint about Turkish gold and recorded the lecture. For details, please refer to my blog3. In the previous study, two multimedia principles were used as references for my modification. One is the principle of redundancy, and the other is the continuity of space and time. The principle of redundancy indicates that although the audience wants to see multiple media formats to help them understand, it is best not to ask the audience to deal with more than two formats at the same time, because this may increase the cognitive burden and damage the audience’s understanding. I think keywords and matching text are the key points. So I first extracted keywords from the large text in the original ppt. And with pictures.
Before the revision, the problem with my speech was that it was too long. Readers cannot extract effective information in the first place. So I first extracted the keywords and modified the ppt as the following figure.
After extracting the keywords, readers only need to quickly check the key points and listen to my explanation.
The second point is that in terms of the continuity of space and time, it is recommended that related text and images be placed on the same page instead of on separate pages, so that readers do not need to bother to move back and forth. This is very deep for me. I often forget new content that I am not familiar with because I read irrelevant content.
So I changed the background of my original Chinese text in ppt to pictures related to the content of the current explanation. I think this can make readers more impressed.
This page introduces the gdp problem caused by gold, so I replaced the irrelevant background picture with the gdp change picture. Corresponding to the text on the left to make the reader clear.
Combining the two points, I changed the ppt and modified , I learned a lot.
